Werdegang: Michael Meisl, geb. 1969 in Furth bei München, ist seit 20 Jahren ambitionierter Kletterer. Er kam als Autodidakt zur Fotografie, noch während seiner Tätigkeit als Fotoassistent veröffentlichte er erste Aufnahmen in den verschiedenen Fachzeitschriften. 1993 gründete er mit einem Freund das mittlerweile europaweit bekannte Mode-Label Lost Arrow, für das er auch heute noch tätig ist. Seit 1999 ist er als freier Fotograf tätig und arbeitet mit den besten und bekanntesten Kletterern zusammen. Neben der Action-Fotografie, liegt sein Schwerpunkt bei Outdoor, People, Reportage und Landschaft.

Background: Michael Meisl was born in 1969 in Furth near Munich and has been an ambitious climber for more than 20 years. He is a self-taught photographer and had his first pictures published in various trade magazines while working as a photographic assistant. In 1993 he and a friend founded Lost Arrow, a fashion label which has, in the meantime, become well-known throughout Europe and for which he still works today. He has been active as a free-lance photographer since 1999, working together with the best and most renowned climbers. In addition to action photography, his pictures focus on outdoor themes, people, reporting and landscape scenes.
Publications include international trade magazines, daily papers, climbing books, books with artistic photos and calendars.
